Capcom Is Remaking The Original Resident Evil For Next Gen Consoles

Capcom are remaking the 2002 GameCube version of Resident Evil.

 

The legendary game will be upgraded to 1080p for PS4, PC and Xbox One, and will include enhanced 3D models and textures with a tidy 5.1 surround sound to boot.

 

You’ll also be presented with the option to switch between the classic but shitty 4:3 ratio to 16:9 widescreen, and controls can also be tweaked.

Capcom said: “The classic control scheme remains for fans of the original play style or there’s an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, utilizing the standards of the current generation of gaming,”

“Both the control scheme and the display options can be toggled between at any time during gameplay.”

The new reboot is due to drop in early 2015, and we cannot f*cking wait.

All screenshots included in this article are from the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the remaster. The PS4 and Xbox One is set to be much more beautiful.
