I am one for not wanting to do friendlies because it is time consuming, however I think they are important for match fitness. What I do is go onto "Manager" - "Your Team Name" - "Game Settings", then there will be an option of "Assisant takes control of friendly matches". If you tick that then you will still play the friendlies, it just won't be as time consuming so your players can get mach fitness and it will only take you half the time.

Stopping Press Conferences:

Some people I have seen want to get rid of press conferences. What you do for this is go onto "Manager" - "Your team name" - "Team Settings" - fromthere you will see at the top "Let Assistant Manager take care of press conferences", tick that and ten you will not be asked to attend any more press conferences.
